“Sixty Years Ago” Derek Ryan’s First Single of 2017

Just having come through his busiest and most successful year to date, Derek Ryan opens 2017 with a brand new single. ‘Sixty Years Ago’, taken from Derek’s ‘Happy Man’ album which was released along with ‘This is Me’ last October, giving him a double top 10 entry in the Irish charts.

The song, co-written with Seamus Doran, is a moving and touching recording filled with emotion and sentiment about a dying partner. Speaking today about the release, Derek said he welled up with tears the first time he heard the song and believes it will touch a cord with listeners when they hear it.

“We can all identify with the words and meaning of the song in some way either through the loss of a friend or family member”.
