Derek Ryan, who was named “Entertainer of the Year” by the Sunday World, has always been applauded for his breathtaking performances on his huge concert tour. Now, however, Derek has decided to strip down his show, with a five date acoustic tour.

The ‘New King of Country’ has been selling out shows up and down the country, and alongside his band, never fails to put on an astounding performance. During the set of ‘The Simple Things Concert Tour’, Derek gives the band a break and, only left with his guitar, performs for the crowd, in a more intimate and personal way.

“The highlight of the concert tour for me, so far, has been the reaction from the audience to my acoustic set half way through the show. I get a chance to tell stories, to the audience about my influences and sing some of my own songs and some classics, just me and my guitar!”

Derek on his ‘Intimate Acoustic’ tour will be joined by two band members, Rory Madden on keyboards and Matt Curran on guitar, who will help set the mood at each of the five gigs. The trio will appear at McGrory’s Of Culdaff (Inishowen, Co. Donegal), The Craic Theatre (Coalisland, Co. Tyrone), The Flowerfield Arts Centre (Portstewart, Co. Derry), The Lodge Entertainment Centre (Castlewellan) and The Ballymaloe Grainstone (Shanagarry, Co. Cork).

Each venue has a limited number of seats available, to make the experience extra special for those lucky enough to get tickets. Tickets go on sale tomorrow 3rd April and are available through Ticketmaster via the website ticketmaster.ie or by telephone to 0818903001 (ROI)/ 08448440444 (NI).
