“Wow, that was special! The highlight of my career.” They were the words from leading Irish Country Star Derek Ryan, leaving the main stage at Trafalgar Square, London.

The St Patrick’s Irish festival saw thousands of country music fans cheering on the leading man, Derek Ryan along with his band, who soon stole the show and had the crowd singing and dancing the day away.

The annual event celebrates everything Irish, and Trafalgar Square turned green as thousands packed in throughout the day. Organised by the Mayor of London’s office, Derek was joined on stage by the Mayor himself Sadiq Khan, comedian Dara O’Briain, Gavin James and other Irish music and dance acts.

After Derek’s set, fans young and old flocked to meet him. Derek did not disappoint and was happy to greet fans after the show to take photographs and sign autographs. His hoards of fans who traveled from all over Britain were keen to praise the country star online with many compliments being shared to Derek’s social media pages.
