Derek Ryan returns to the city that inspired some of his early songwriting this month to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Weekend in style, at the annual London St Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival. The official three-day celebration begins on 17th March and runs through to Sunday 19th March- when Derek and his band, will join a packed line-up of stars and special guests on the stage at Trafalgar Square to entertain up to 25,000 people.

This is sure to be one of the largest audiences Derek has played to, since his boy band days with D-Side, with people travelling from all over the UK to take part in the lively Irish festivities.

This will be the 16th year of The Mayor’s St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, which now attracts over 100,000 people over the three days. It has become a destination event for ex-Pats in Britain, which showcases the best of Irish music, song, dance, culture and arts.

The parade, which will showcase extravagant pageantry, eccentric floats and theatrical marching bands from across the UK, makes its way down Piccadilly and past some of the capital’s most famous landmarks, from The Ritz to Trafalgar Square, which is where the main stage of the festival takes centre place.

Joining Derek in the iconic Trafalgar Square will be a number of other very special guests including Gavin James and Liam O’Maonlai, with prolific Irish comedian, Jarlath Regan, hosting the celebrations.

This show is a taste of what UK fans can expect ahead of his upcoming ‘This is Me’ 20 date UK Tour, which will see him play theatres all over the country, including the iconic Union Chapel in London on the 20th May this year.
