Derek Ryan will headline the inaugural ‘Farmers Bash’ at the SSE arena Belfast on the 6th October.

The event, which is predicted to bring together thousands of country music lovers, was launched at Belfast’s landmark concert venue with the help of John Deere and New Hollands tractors and members of the Grassmen, a Ballymena based company reaping the benefits of an apparent worldwide fascination with tractors. The business, which has become a social media phenomenon was built on the appeal of John Deere, Massey Ferguson and New Holland tractors.

This will not only be the biggest indoor venue that Derek has played, it will also be the biggest indoor country music dance event the UK or Ireland has ever seen.

As for the Carlow man, he could not be happier to share the news with his fans telling them how “surreal it is to announce this gig”, stating “we’re bringing country to Belfast” as well as conducting a straw poll for his Facebook followers as to whether he should arrive at the gig on a John Deere green or a New Holland blue.

Tickets are on sale on from Saturday 6th May at Ticketmaster.
